For one thing, it seems that things are still up in the air about the sale of the club and golf course. As you might know, Jim Lowden is a friend and member who has been really trying hard to get this going, and it has been slow movement. He is a good guy and someone who wants to keep Cascades as the best place around, but there are seeming delays and bumps in the road all around.
I really don't know of anybody else who is serious at this point, but nobody reports to me!
The dogwoods and azealeas are beautiful right now, aren't they? We all need to enjoy, take pictures and the like.
I understand that Suzanne Snavely and her mom have opened up a Hamburger place, but we haven't been there yet. Any reviews in yet? Good luck with that!
Any news or opinions, just post them right here!

Hi Rick,
Thanks for getting this restarted! I hope others will join. I know I am not in any of the loops so I have to figure out some way to get information around here!!
I will give the scoop on the burger place. My mom is not involved (that's a good thing as she is the best but at 79, her burger flipping days are over)!!! But John and I are opening a franchise out of Dallas called Burger House. We have signed a lease and hope to be up and running by late summer. We will be in the old Curves location - near Steinmart. They have won all kinds of awards - mostly known for their special season salt they put on the burgers and fries. Good old fashioned milk shakes, malts, dogs, the works. You will all love it - they have been family owned since 1951 and we are their first real franchise. It is the perfect cure on Saturday when you have had too much wine the night before!!! We will let you know details as the time gets a little closer. The space has to be gutted, so we have our work cut out for us!!!
Thanks Rick, this is Great!!......I saw Tom M as well. He is a Tyler Celeb already. I wonder if this BLOG site has a calendar?? It would be nice to get the Club Calendar electronically.
Thanks for your feedback, Suzanne and Brad. We just need to get the word out that this blog is available, and it might very well become a really useful bulletin board for the whole community, and we sure need one!
I just talked to Kenny Huff, he is having neck/shoulder surgery tomorrow! I wished him well and told him that we would be thinking about him. He said he didn't think he would be in the hospital too long.
