Jimmy Tallent passed away last night, Monday, January 7, 2007. His ready smile and cheerful demeanor will be missed by all of us.
The funeral is scheduled for Friday, but exact times and locations are being determined right now. Check the newspaper for details. (It isn't in today's newspaper). Visitation will be held at Stewart Family Funeral home and the funeral will be held at Green Acres Baptist Church.
The family has requested that no food be brought.

The death of Jimmy Tallent leaves a blackhole for mankind. All who knew him were blessed by his presence.
If we could contact him tonight to inquire about his experience and condition, he would exclaim, "Terrific!" (and give us mints.)

I was asked by Patty Fowler to pass along this message. She was trying to organize something for the Tallents and got the message that food is not needed at this time. She would like for us to organize some sort of meal service in a week or so after all of the current attention dies down. She says their daughter is coming to stay for an extended period and bringing her children which she has enrolled in school here. If you are interested in helping with this, please call Patty, or if you are aware of any other need that we can provide, please let her know. If anybody knows where the children will be enrolled in school, please let me know as we may be able to help with their transition. I didn't know Jimmy but after reading Shari's comment, I am very sorry I missed out!!
